This may be the group for you . . . especially if you're interested in teaching or writing about "these things".
This fellowship is designed for the free exchange of ideas and only active members will be allowed to remain. The goal is to get everyone comfortable with speaking, teaching, presenting and writing the topics that we all love and enjoy discussing. There will be exercises; e-books, audio-books, YouTube link sharing, and hopefully we all can see each other by posting our own personal YouTube video links! This group will be a real active group of friends, not just members who clicked on "add" because their keywords brought The Rosy Ankh back in the results. And if you are already an accomplished speaker or pastor then this group is probably not for you but we appreciate your support. It mainly applies to those of us who are trying to take the advice of Dr. Stephen Covey by learning new material and then immediately teaching it. This 1.) helps another, 2.) reinforces the information for us, 3.) gives us practice on becoming better teachers, speakers, presenters and writers.
I am an aspiring organizer and motivational speaker. I see a need for my local area to have a meeting of the minds with those who have common interests - interests that I've stated above. I intend to create a study group in Decatur, GA but to start online first. No fees will be associated with this and members won't be allowed to sell or advertise stuff pertaining to "these things" as Alan Watts puts it, unless they are selling their own book or audio download. No $5.99/min phone counseling, or $1,200 seminars, etc. The prices that I see for resources are astronomical. I know that it's only my opinion but it's like "preaching to the choir". Material is being sold to rich people about how to attract money.
Thankfully there are plenty of free resources available, however. Not to mention that we can develop our own. So if you're not interested in pimping spirituality please join this group.
